Richard Weening, Chairman and CEO
Richard Weening is an entrepreneur with successful experience in starting and building technology-enabled services and media businesses including Cumulus Media (NASDAQ:CMLS), a radio broadcasting group; Caribbean Communications Company, Ltd.; Connect Inc, an e-commerce enterprise software company; ARI Network Services (ARIS:OB), an electronic catalog and commerce services firm; and Raintree Publishers, an educational and reference book publisher. He is also CEO of QUAESTUS & Co., Inc, a private investment firm.
Before beginning his business career, Richard helped to found a not-for-profit low-income housing rehabilitation and development agency while also serving as a Legislative Assistant to a U.S. Congressman Henry S. Reuss (D-Wis). Richard was then appointed Chief of Staff to Wisconsin Governor Patrick J. Lucey and later National Political Director for a U.S. Presidential campaign. Richard is a Trustee of the African Wildlife Foundation and a director of several other business and charitable organizations. He holds a B.A. in Classics and Government from St. John's University.
Roger Bensinger, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development
Roger oversees marketing at Prolitec and heads up sales for the commercial and consumer divisions at the company. He brings over 15 years of retail management experience, having previously served as SVP of Marketing at The Sharper Image. While there, Roger oversaw an advertising budget in excess of 100 million dollars and directed the marketing efforts across the direct and retail sales channels. Roger also had P&L responsibility for the wholesale and corporate B2B divisions of the company where Sharper Image proprietary products were sold in more than 4,000 retail doors domestically and abroad. Prior to joining Sharper Image, Roger co-owned and operated St. Louis-based All Pro Sports. APS produced and aired Major League Baseball television shows in major markets across the United States.
Caroline Koss, Vice President of Fragrance
Caroline Koss manages Prolitec’s fragrance catalog. Prior to joining Prolitec, Caroline was a professional fundraiser and most recently served as Finance Director for a statewide gubernatorial campaign in 2002. She has 10 years of campaign experience, primarily in fundraising, on municipal, legislative and statewide campaigns. She attended North Carolina State University studying political science and business administration.
Marc Robert, Vice President of Engineering
Marc Robert has brought more than 20 years of experience in engineering and project management to his responsibilities at Prolitec, which include managing technical innovation from product development to manufacturing andsourcing, qualitycontrol and worldwide logistics. Prior to joining Prolitec, he was Engineering Manager at the L’Air Liquide Group, a world-leading producer of industrial and medical gases. He is a member of the Instrument Society of America and served as a voting member of the Compressed Gases Association. Marc holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the Ecole de Chimie in Paris, France.
Doug Longstreth, Vice President of Technical Services & Support
Doug manages Technical Services and Customer Support at Prolitec. He brings over 20 years of experience building and managing remote engineering and customer service teams. Most recently he held the position of Sr. Director of Sales Engineering at iPass, a worldwide remote and broadband access provider. Prior to iPass, Doug was the Director of Network Engineering at MCIWorldcom, a worldwide telecommunications company, Director of Network Systems Engineering at UUNET, a major network provider and CompuServe, an online service and network provider. Doug holds a Business degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Jesus Torres, Vice President of Finance
Jesus manages the Finance and Accounting functions at Prolitec. He brings over 10 years of corporate finance experience. Most recently he held the position of VP of Financial Planning & Analysis for the Theatrical Services Division of Technicolor (TMS). Prior to Technicolor, Jesus was with Plumtree Software (acquired by BEA Systems) where he held various financial positions from 2000 to 2007. His last position was Controller for the Business Interactive Division. Jesus earned a BA in
Finance and Business Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
Jim Hynes, Vice President, Area Sales
Jim manages our field sales organization in the consumer product division. Jim brings over 18 years of field sales management, having held the positions of VP of Sales with Premier Agendas, a supplemental curriculum educational company and VWR International, a global distributor of lab supplies, equipment and apparatus, where he had P&L responsibility and revenue responsibility of over $165 million. Jim has in-depth experience managing national sales and sales management teams in manufacturing and distribution in the pharmaceutical, educational, consumer products, and environmental markets. Jim has a BS degree in Marketing and Management from Valparaiso University.
